Hospice of the Red River Valley is committed to making ongoing educational and support opportunities available to our communities. Grief support classes are offered in-person, free and open to the public. Registration is required for all classes. Register for classes below or call (800) 237-4629.

Teen Grief Workshop
Join Hospice of the Red River Valley for our Teen Grief Workshop, a special hands-on class for 6th-12th grade students. This workshop is designed to help teens make sense of grief and loss and will be facilitated by Grief Specialist, Sara Schwarz. This event is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required as space is limited.

Heartstrings: Youth Grief Retreat
Hospice of the Red River Valley invites children ages 7-14 to attend Heartstrings: Youth Grief Retreat, a special day camp designed to support youth who have experienced the death of a loved one. Through engaging activities, meaningful discussions and time spent in nature, participants will explore how grief feels, learn healthy ways to cope and discover paths toward healing.
Held in the peaceful setting of That’s the Dream Farm, the retreat offers a blend of outdoor and indoor experiences. Each camper will receive a backpack, a copy of The Invisible String and the creative projects they work on throughout the day. The retreat concludes with a heartfelt Remembrance Service, where families are invites to join their children for lunch and the planting of a memorial tree in honor of loved ones who have died.
